Bob Sakuta, President
With over 3 decades of experience at the sister company to Delta Gear, Delta Research, Bob Sakuta has worked and witnessed countless prototype and leading edge, gear-related projects where time to market was critical and quality was paramount. In 2004, Bob purchased Delta Gear (formerly known as Tifco Gage & Gear) and began building it into the world-class gear facility that it currently is. Today, Bob oversees the management of both Delta Gear and Delta Research as well as developing the overall direction of the Delta Companies.
Scott Sakuta, Project Manager
Like his father, Scott Sakuta has grown up with Delta Research, spending summers running machines and learning the business. Today, he is one of the key players as a project manager at both Delta Gear and Delta Research. Scott is instrumental in problem solving, researching and applying key process controls to doing business (as is shown in our receiving AS9100 Registration and NADCAP Certification for Non-destructive testing) and developing new manufacturing methods. As a key person at Delta Gear and Delta Research, Scott helps to manage all facets of the business.
Michael Pierz, Chief Gear Engineer
With over 35 years engineering experience in Design, Test and Advanced Engineering in the auto industry, Michael has worked on power train projects in the Americas, Europe and Asia. Specializing in the application and design of gears in multiple platforms, Michael has published papers on gear efficiency, heat treatment, noise and transmission error measurement. As an accomplished leader of multifunctional teams, Michael brings his technical and management expertise to our expanding engineering department.
Ken McConnell, Manufacturing Manager
As a 25 year veteran to manufacturing, Ken brings the manufacturing know-how and on time delivery performance that has revolutionized Delta Gear. His “buck-stops here” mentality has turned Delta Gear into a “Best-in-Class” gear manufacturer.
Tony Werschky, Sales Tony actively works to illustrate the tremendous capabilities of Delta Gear. As a graduate of Miami University and with considerable experience in sales, manufacturing and small business development, Tony has brought a fresh approach to sales at Delta Gear. Tony works as the main liaison between Delta Gear, its sister company Delta Research and their customers. He helps with providing job quotes for customers as well as helping manage large projects. As part of the key management team, Tony gives input on all levels of the business.
Harold Hachigian, Process Engineer
With over 25 years in manufacturing as a gear, spline gage and master gear manufacturer, Harold’s depth of knowledge and manufacturability and processing capability has helped Delta Gear to flourish as a company.
Charlotte Dasey, Inspection & Quality Manager
Charlotte’s 20+ years as an aerospace gear inspector has given her the experience in understanding the demanding tolerances in flight critical hardware as well as the ability to help Delta Gear to manage the ever challenging OEM quality requirements.
Saul Adelman, Sr. Programmer
Saul has over 20 years experience in process design and CAD. His consistent production of high quality “in-process” drawings allows our teams on the floor to produce components with minimal errors.
Lee Lantz, Program Manager
Lee’s 20+ years experience in quality and program management with a former Aerospace OEM firm allows him to help Delta Gear in handling any gear project effectively and professionally. His knowledge of process requirements and logistics is crucial in providing successful projects for the organization..
